La figura magn\u00e8tica de Gabriel Ferrater va eclipsar el seu germ\u00e0 que va viure molts anys a Cuba i al Canad\u00e0, el cr\u00edtic literari, traductor i poeta Joan Ferrat\u00e9, de qui aquest any s\u2019ha commemorat el 15\u00e8 aniversari de la mort (amb el lliurament de la seva biblioteca personal a la UdG). D\u2019entre la seva obra, hi ha un text que ha aixecat for\u00e7a polseguera tot i ser in\u00e8dit; es tracta dels seus diaris \u00edntims, que va deixar preparats amb el t\u00edtol Del desig. Escrits entre els anys 60 i 70, aquests diaris breus, de maduresa tracten del desig er\u00f2tic homosexual i de la relaci\u00f3 que Ferrat\u00e9 va mantenir mentre vivia al Canad\u00e0 amb el jove Daniel.
