La pluralitat que la globalitzaci\u00f3 ha portat al nostre m\u00f3n d\u2019avui ens obliga a repensar la fe des de perspectives no gens etnoc\u00e8ntriques, ni llatines, ni occidentals. \u00c9s un repte semblant al que en el seu moment va afrontar la comunitat on s\u2019escriu l\u2019evangeli de Mateu, que fou lliure, carism\u00e0tica i oberta a la universalitat. En aquest volum, que completa el comentari de l\u2019Evangeli de Mateu, comen\u00e7a all\u00e0 on acabava el primer volum, a les portes de Jerusalem, i recorre els darrers vuit cap\u00edtols de l\u2019Evangeli, els corresponents a Jerusalem, la passi\u00f3 i el misteri pasqual. I acaba per all\u00e0 on comen\u00e7a l\u2019Evangeli, amb el naixement i la infantesa, ja que aquestes contemplacions plenes de teologia, de m\u00edstica i de poesia formen part del darrer estadi de la tradici\u00f3.
