Bruno Forte va n\u00e9ixer a N\u00e0pols. Va ser ordenat sacerdot el 18 d’abril de 1973. Va estudiar teologia a Tubinga i a Par\u00eds; \u00e9s doctor en teologia (1974) i filosofia (1977). Ha estat professor de teologia sistem\u00e0tica en la Facultat Pontif\u00edcia de Teologia d’It\u00e0lia Meridional (N\u00e0pols). Va ser nomenat Arquebisbe de Chieti-Vast pel Papa Joan Pau II el 26 de juny de 2004. Va ser consagrat bisbe pel cardenal Joseph Ratzinger (actualment, Papa Benet XVI) el 8 de setembre de 2004. Despr\u00e9s de l\u2019elecci\u00f3 del Papa Benet XVI, Forte va ser vist com el seu possible successor al capdavant de la Congregaci\u00f3 per a la Doctrina de la Fe, abans que fora escollit per aquest c\u00e0rrec el cardenal nord-americ\u00e0 William Levada. Te\u00f2leg de s\u00f2lida formaci\u00f3 filos\u00f2fica amb un estil molt propi i am\u00e8.
